Crocodoyle Project
I started making rugs in 2020, crafting pieces for friends and family. What began as a creative hobby quickly grew into a passion — and over time, I honed my skills, experimented with designs, and learned the ins and outs of hand-tufting.

As my experience grew, so did the demand for my rugs. Today, I’m excited to share my creations with a wider audience through Crocodoyle Project. Each rug is handmade with care, whether it’s a ready-to-ship piece or a custom design crafted just for you. I love turning ideas into tactile, vibrant works of art that can be lived on, displayed, and cherished.

How your rug is made
1. The Idea
It all begins with your vision. Whether you bring me a sketch, a photo, or just an idea in your head, I work with you to turn it into a unique rug design that feels personal and meaningful.

2. The Design
I translate your concept into a detailed pattern, choosing the right colours and textures that will bring your rug to life. Every design is carefully mapped out so it looks beautiful in your space.

3. The Tufting
Using a special tufting gun, I “paint with yarn” by pushing colourful strands of wool or acrylic through a fabric frame. This is where the rug starts taking shape, one tuft at a time. It’s a mix of precision and creativity that makes each piece completely one-of-a-kind.

4. The Backing & Finish
Once the design is tufted, I apply a strong backing to keep it secure and long-lasting. Then I carefully trim and carve the fibres by hand to sharpen the details and add texture.

5. The Final Touches
Every rug is hand-finished, cleaned, and checked for quality before it leaves my studio. This is the moment it transforms from yarn on a frame into a piece of functional art.
